Kidnappers jailed for five years
The High Criminal Court has sentenced four Bangladeshi men to five years behind bars for kidnapping an expat.
The defendants abducted the man and tried to force him pay BD480 after threatening him, the court heard.
The fourth defendant contacted the victim on the pretext of buying ‘free visas’ and he agreed to meet him at a place in Manama, sources say.
“The four convicts dragged him to an Abaya shop in the area and forcefully made him sign papers, which said he owed BD480 to them,” the sources added.
