Rains to stop, pleasant weather to move in
After experiencing heavy rains for the past three days, the Kingdom will see pleasant weather throughout the rest of the week, according to forecasts. The showers have caused flooding in many areas of the Kingdom.
The rains accompanied by heavy winds also brought many trees crashing down. Traffic flow was disrupted in many parts of the Kingdom as special teams from the Works Ministry continue to put in efforts to clear floodwaters from roads.
Tribune earlier quoted a Works Ministry official as saying that 33 suction tankers were deployed to clear floodwaters from many areas. Many public places including schools and parks were affected by floods. Sources said Hidd and West Riffa were among the most affected places.
