Witnesses to testify in Visa card fraud case
Prosecution witnesses will be heard on November 11, 2018, in the trial of a domestic servant who trapped her Bangladeshi boyfriend in a fraud case after asking him to withdraw money using the Visa card of her sponsor. The woman is said to have stolen the card before asking the defendant to withdraw BD200 using it.
She later headed to the airport and fled the Kingdom, leaving her boyfriend in a legal trap, according to court details. “I received an SMS stating that BD200 was withdrawn using my Visa card. I went to the bank and they confirmed to me that the card was used. Therefore I informed the police,” the victim told prosecutors.
