Bahrain grabs top spot in freestyle wrestling

Bahrain has attained first rank among Arab nations and fifteenth rank in the world in Freestyle Wrestling with the accomplishments of wrestler Adam Batirov. The national team wrestler had achieved the silver medal at Men’s 70kg freestyle competition on Tuesday at the World Wrestling Championship, held in Budapest, Hungary.

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Honorary Chairman of the Bahrain Martial Arts Federation praised the level presented by wrestler Batirov and appreciated the efforts of the Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation in preparing programmes that develop wrestling as well as other sports under its umbrella, driving towards further brilliance and achievement in various sports events.

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, and HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, on the occasion.
