Oman ‘wants peace process between Israel, Palestine’
Oman receiving Israeli Prime Minister was with the hope of finding a solution towards the establishment of a Palestinian state, Oman’s Foreign Minister said. Following the invitation of Sultan Sayyid Qaboos bin Said Al Said, the Sultan of Oman, both the Israeli Prime Minister and the Palestinian President visited Muscat on separate occasions.
Yusuf bin Alawi, Oman’s Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, said during Manama Dialogue yesterday that the visits were welcomed with hopes of finding a solution to the conflict. “The meeting with Israelis was with the intention to help both parties move forward and establish a Palestinian state. “We need to let go of the past and look forward to the future. We do not want to see Palestinians suffer more from this conflict. Let us participate in building a better future for the Palestinians.
