Team Spirit, Team Bahrain

The third edition of the Government Forum under the Patronage of HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister celebrating the initiative of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister brings along a great sense of pride and unity.

Under one roof, government officials came together to share and discuss on a transparent platform various policies, practices and procedures. An annual assessment of goals and performances are addressed to ensure best qualities are met to achieve the required goals and objectives. This annual gathering allows for dialogue and discussion, questions to be raised with a positive boost of energy to see various government initiatives being highlighted and awarded.

It’s a dynamic platform to hear different topics being addressed, ministers discussing their initiatives, future plans and projects in a panel discussion setting, which can shed a lot of light on various topics that have an immediate effect on growth and prosperity of our beautiful land.

The Kingdom of Bahrain and its growth is a shared responsibility of everyone living on this land. We are blessed each of us in his/her own field of work to foster and evolve towards achieving our national goals and meet our 2030 vision. Ensuring growth and new possibilities under one unified goal towards our national vision, new programs and initiatives have been announced under the umbrella of the Government Forum.

One particular initiative had a great impact on me personally, which opens a door for all government employees to share a dream and an idea. Under the title of “Fikra” which is the Arabic word for “Idea”, it’s a digital platform expending public sector employee’s contributions towards government services innovation. This particular incentive brings a great deal of excitement, and a sense of direct involvement in future projects and planning.

It’s a simple online questioner, which allows promoting excellence and innovation across various sectors. It offers a chance to share a dream. There is a great deal of excitement to hear from HRH The Crown Prince, that more than 500 applications with various ideas were submitted for review. This incredible response towards the competition is extremely exciting.

I believe that opening this door to share new ideas can play a positive and active role towards future planning. It’s a time to praise our Team Bahrain spirit, to contribute towards the development of our beautiful country.
