Hoax bomb: Witnesses To be heard on Oct 15

Prosecution witnesses will be heard on October 15 in the trial of a person implicated in a bomb hoax case. The suspect is accused of planting a fake bomb on March 10 this year at Shaikh Khalifa Al Kabeer Avenue in Muharraq.
He was nabbed following police investigation, and was charged of planting a fake bomb to terrify citizens and disrupt road traffic. In a separate case, the High Criminal Court said it will hear the prosecution witnesses in the trial of five accused of arson on October 15.
The accused reportedly vandalized public properties on April 18 in the village of Dair. The also allegedly burnt tyres and fled the scene, according to court files. The five have been accused on grounds of putting lives in danger, possessing firebombs and arson.
