Ten years prison for drug lord
The High Criminal Court has sentenced a drug lord to 10 years behind bars along with a fine of BD5,000. The defendant was already held guilty in connection with drug cases and an undercover agent was ordered to establish links with him after the police received a tip-off. The officer in plain clothes contacted the defendant and offered him BD1,200 for a fixed quantity of shabu. And they agreed to meet in Arad, according to prosecutors.
They met at the agreed time, and the anti-drugs squad was monitoring the situation. When the defendant handed over the drugs and received the money, he was allowed to leave.
