A weekend dedicated to start-ups

A unique 54-hour event for developers, business managers, startup enthusiasts, and others to pitch ideas and work towards coming up with a start-up, will be held in Bahrain.

The start-up event launched by Techstars and supported by Google will gather talented start-up enthusiasts, tech whizzes, graphic designers to encourage them towards coming up potential start-ups.

Techstars, which had some big companies Uber, Classpass, and Easy Taxi, come out of its accelerator will be bringing Start-up Weekend to Bahrain this Thursday. The event will be held from Thursday until Saturday.

According to Techstars, Startup Weekend attendee backgrounds are roughly 50 percent technical (developers, coders, designers etc) and 50pc business (marketing, finance, law etc). “Start-up Weekends are 54- hour events designed to provide superior experiential education for technical and non-technical entrepreneurs.
