Bahrain Science Centre hosts astronaut
The Youth and Sports Ministry’s Bahrain Science Centre has hosted, in cooperation with the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications and the US Embassy, American astronaut, Alfred Worden, who was the Command Module Pilot for the Apollo 15 lunar mission in 1971.
The astronaut delivered a lecture in which he introduced himself and highlight his successful lunar mission, as well as ways his preparations ahead of it. He also reviewed the equipment and special clothes that should be used by the astronaut, in addition to medical check-ups they should undergo.
