Contest set for filmmakers
The Bahrain Cinema Club will host its second edition of Bahrain Cinema Club Competition for filmmakers in Bahrain to provide them with a platform for showcasing their talent. The competition, which will be held under the patronage of Shaikha Hala bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, General Manager for Culture and Arts, Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, will begin on November 25 and will continue until November 29.
Speaking to Tribune, Mohammed Ebrahim, Head of Film Showcasing Department, said, “The Bahrain Cinema Club Competition 2018 is one of the important activities and programmes on the club’s agenda.” “The films will be professionally reviewed in terms of sound, image and relevance. We will leave the relevant committee to express their opinion and final evaluation on the last day of the festival.”
