World’s largest ring showcased at Jewellery Arabia
Gold jewelry fans in the Kingdom have been urged to head to Jewellery Arabia to check out the world’s largest ring at the Arihant Jewellers EH170 booth until Saturday. The 21-carat Najmat Taiba or Star of Taiba, which has been recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records and endorsed by the World Gold Council is currently valued at $3 million.
The massive jewelry piece weighs nearly 64 kilograms (141 pounds) and is adorned with 5.1 kilograms of precious stones and diamonds, as well as 615 Swarovski crystals. It took 450 hours in 45 days for at least 55 jewel smiths to produce the ring in 2000 and at that time, it cost the owner $547,000.
