Shura lauds Kingdom’s efforts to protect rights of Bahraini women
Marking the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, which is observed on the November 25 every year, the Shura Council stressed that the advanced legislation in Bahrain as well as the numerous systems and decisions have protected the rights of Bahraini women and contributed to protecting women from all forms of violence and discrimination.
The council took pride in the national achievements of women thanks to the tremendous support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the constant care of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier.
The Shura Council lauded the great care given to Bahraini women by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), which contributed to their progress and participation to the kingdom’s development process.
