Flourishing energy ties

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday launched the AB-4 pipeline at an event at Shaikh Isa Air Base, held to celebrate over 70 years of energy co-operation between the Kingdom and Saudi Arabia. His Royal Highness Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince, Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Defence, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, and a number of senior Bahraini and Saudi officials attended the ceremony.

During the launch, His Majesty the King highlighted the strength of relations between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, underpinned by deep centuries-old historic ties, common destiny and strong kingship bonds between the two brotherly countries and peoples.

His Majesty King Hamad highlighted the Kingdom’s commitment to further enhancing bilateral cooperation across all sectors, an effort which continues to see support from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

His Majesty the King noted that the launch of the AB-4 pipeline project is a vital economic milestone in the longstanding relations between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, adding that it will form the nexus for further integrated projects between the two kingdoms.
