KFH and BisB bag top awards
Kuwait Finance House and Bahrain Islamic Bank bagged top awards for being the top performing Islamic banks yesterday. Kuwait Finance House bagged the Global and GCC region awards, a testament to its strong performance in the financial metrics of the WIBC Leaderboard, while Bahrain Islamic Bank received the Governance and CSR Award.
The awards were given out by Khalid Hamad Abdulrahman Hamad, Executive Director of Banking Supervision, Central Bank of Bahrain to the top performing Islamic financial institutions based on their performance in the WIBC Leaderboard – a performance assessment tool aimed at enabling Islamic financial institutions to benchmark their performance against their peers. The awarding ceremony was held at Art Rotana on the sidelines of World Islamic Banking Conference (WIBC).
Other winners at the 25th Annual WIBC Performance Awards include Best Performing Islamic Bank - Levant: Jordan Islamic Bank and Award for Fastest Growing Bank (By Asset Growth): Warba Bank.
