Neighbouring property owner ‘puts families in trench’
Eight families living in one of the localities in Jidhafs were “thrown deep inside a hell” after the owner of the neighbouring property dug a trench around their compound allegedly owing to differences with their landlord. Sources said the one-metre trench blocked vehicles from entry and exit, literally marooning the families.
“These families were depending on tankers for water as the water tank, pipes and electric motor inside the compound remained defunct.” Adding to their woes, the compound was also locked from outside, the sources added.
A few members of the affected families were stuck outside, while the majority were stuck inside the compound without access to food or water. It is learnt that the majority of the family members living in the compound are employed with a prominent hospital in the Kingdom.
