A day of pride

Fireworks, events organised by various ministries, organisations and private companies across the four governorates along with entertainment shows marked the Kingdom’s National Day celebrations yesterday.

Hundreds of citizens and expatriates witnessed the celebrations held at the Bahrain International Circuit.

The celebrations encompassed a wide range of activities including musical concerts, fun rides for children, a traditional souq and several food stalls. There was also a substantial increase in the number of tourists visiting the Kingdom during the last week, according to hotels and tourism companies.

Several GCC and Arab leaders congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa marking the occasion. His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier also received similar congratulatory cables from the leaders of Arab, Islamic and friendly countries.
