Special festivities for residents of Isa Town

Southern Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa has patronised the National Day festivities of Isa Town residents.

The event marks the Kingdom’s National Day celebrated on December 16-17, the anniversary of its establishment as a modern Arab and Muslim State by its founder Ahmed Al Fateh in 1783, the 47th anniversary of its accession as fully-fledged UN member and the 19th anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s Accession to the Throne.

The governor was received by Isa Town citizens and officials. The ceremony began with ayahs from the Holy Quran recited by Mohammed Al Kholasi, followed by a melodious poem read by Mish’al Al Malki in praise of the glorious history of Bahrain’s leadership.

Also, a documentary was shown narrating the history of Isa Town established by the late Amir of Bahrain, HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, 50 years ago. The event concluded with the traditional Ardha performance in which the governor, residents and guests partook.
