Deputy King honours RAP officers

The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa yesterday honoured newly graduated RAP commissioned officers hailing them as the key contributors in protecting Bahrain’s citizens and residents. Speaking during the graduation ceremony for the eleventh commissioning class of the Royal Academy of Police Cadet Officers, The Deputy King paid tribute to Bahraini soldiers and officers who sacrificed their lives defending their country.

“Bahrain’s Commemoration Day, which falls on 17 December, is a reminder of their selfless dedication and commitment,” said Prince Salman. Earlier, upon arriving at the graduation ceremony, the Deputy King was welcomed by the Minister of Interior, Lt-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, and other senior officers  On the occasion, the Deputy King emphasised the key role the Ministry of Interior plays in maintaining security in the Kingdom and recognised the Minister of Interior’s significant contribution to the stability of the Kingdom.

 In his address to the officers, the Minister of Interior recognised the officers’ commitment to advancing their capabilities and readiness through the adoption of best practices. The ceremony, the Minister said, coincides with the recent successful parliamentary and municipality elections, which represent a significant milestone for the Kingdom’s efforts in advancing sustainable development and strengthening institutions.  The Deputy King inspected the officer cadets’ parade ahead of the commissioning parade and honoured the top achievers.  Minister of Interior handed out the commissioning certificates to the officer cadets.
