Housing units distribution begins in Al Ramli project

Distribution of residential units to eligible citizens in Al Ramli Housing Project has started, said the Ministry of Housing in a statement. The move follows the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister issued during the Government Forum to distribute 5,000 units as part of 10 projects.

The distributing process, Housing Minister Bassem bin Yaqoub Al Hamer said, will continue until mid-January. Al Hamer described Al Ramli Housing Project as one of the government’s strategic schemes to provide 25,000 housing units within the Government Action Plan (GAP 2015-2018).

The project features 4,501 units and apartments on 100 hectares of land, 9 gardens, 2 primary schools, 1 nursery school (KG), a popular market, 11 shopping malls, 1 grand mosque and 5 smaller mosques. The project is expected to accommodate 30,000 residents. According to the ministry, infrastructure works are progressing in another seven of the ongoing 16 projects, while finishing works are being done in four of the projects.
