Truck overturns near Nuwaidrat
Two accidents were reported in the Kingdom yesterday. While the first one was reported near Nuwaidrat, the second one occurred on Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Highway.
In the first accident, a truck overturned while crossing a bridge near Nuwaidrat. Sources said the Asian driver suffered injuries in the accident that occurred in the wee hours yesterday. “The driver lost control of the truck leading to the accident. No other vehicles were involved,” the sources added.
Traffic police and an ambulance rushed to the spot and the victim was immediately taken to Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC). The Ministry of Interior confirmed the accident and stated that traffic directorate officials took control of the situation. The truck registered in another Gulf country was transiting through the Kingdom, it is learnt. This is the second incident of a vehicle overturning since last week.
