Focus on citizens
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday received Council of Representatives Speaker Fawzia Zainal, Shura Council Chairman Ali Saleh Al Saleh and a number of members of the two Councils, at the Sakhir Palace.
HM, the King congratulated the Speaker on winning the title of the Best Political Achievement for Arab Women in 2018 conferred on her by the Arab Women Media Network, which is another achievement for the Kingdom of Bahrain and Bahraini women, wishing her durable success in taking on the national responsibility in the interest of the homeland.
HM, the King also congratulated the Shura Chairman and parliamentarians on their elections, wishing them success in promoting the legislative and parliamentary work. HM, the King said laws and legislation issued by the National Council have been very supportive of the development march.
His Majesty lauded the huge voter turnout that reflected citizens’ awareness and keenness to take part in the elections, welcoming the Bahraini women’s participation that highlighted their determination to serve their country
