Eight births in first 12 hours of New Year

Eight births were recorded during the first twelve hours of the New Year, according to statistics obtained from Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC).

“Five baby boys and three baby girls were delivered at the hospital in the first 12 hours yesterday,” the SMC statement added. The Ministry of Health extended its congratulations to the parents of the newborns at the Salmaniya Medical Complex. “The ministry recorded the first birth in the first minute of the New Year 2019 when Zainab Issa gave birth to a child weighing 3.1 kg. “Ghadir Sabah gave birth to a baby boy weighing 2.9 kg.

The third woman to give birth at SMC in the first hours of the New Year was Zainab Makki, whose baby girl weighed 2.8 kg.”
