Interior Minister promoted to General rank

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued Royal Order 69/2018 promoting the Interior Minister to the rank of a General. Article 1 of the order said Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, is to be promoted to the rank of General and according to Article 2, the Royal Order shall enter into force from the date of its issuance.

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday received a cable of thanks and appreciation from General Shaikh Rashid. The Interior Minister extended heartfelt thanks, appreciation and gratitude to HM King Hamad following the issuance of a Royal Order promoting him to the rank of “General”.

The minister expressed deepest pride and gratitude in the royal trust bestowed upon him, pledging to continue carrying out his patriotic duties with utmost responsibility and dedication, within his commitment to implementing HM the King’s directives to safeguard the kingdom’s security and stability so that the progress march goes ahead.

The Interior Minister stressed that the kind royal gesture is a badge of honour that would motivate him to carry on his dedication in the service of the homeland, under HM the King’s leadership.
