Elasto Painters arrive for Goodwill Games

The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters from the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) professional league arrived in Bahrain early this evening ahead of their participation in the 9th Bahrain-Philippines Goodwill Basketball Games. They were received upon touching down at Bahrain International Airport by Bahrain Basketball Association (BBA) general secretary Abdulelah Abdulghaffar and the event’s organising committee head Baby Fulgencio, as well as other officials and scores of adoring fans. The Elasto Painters delegation included 22 members, led by head coach Caloy Garcia.

They will be playing twice during the Goodwill Games. They first take on national champions Manama Club tomorrow, (Editor’s note: Thursday, January 3) and then face off with perennial contenders Muharraq Club on Friday (Editor’s note: January 4). Both games are scheduled for 7.30pm starts. There are also preliminary games on both days, starting at 5.30pm on Thursday and 4pm on Friday. Tickets are available at the venue.

General Admission tickets are BD3 apiece, per day. The 9th Bahrain-Philippines Goodwill Basketball Games 2019 has been organised by The Hooperz Sport Events in cooperation with members of the Filipino community, the BBA and Nestlé Bahrain Trading W.L.L. The event is being held under the patronage of BBA President, Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa. The Goodwill Games is powered by Houras Services and Consultants, Amour de Paris Perfumes, Filinvest, UAE Exchange and Forex Cargo.

It is supported by FCBG, Strictly Social.BH, BonChon, David’s Stir Fry Crazy, Jollibee, Bahay Kubo, Filipino-American Association, The K Hotel, Arwa, Trans World Travel, Print Mania, Bahrain International Karting Circuit and Track Top Adventure.
