Government Action Plan to be unveiled Tuesday
Parliament Affairs Minister Ghanim Al Buainain said yesterday that His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa will deliver a speech before the Council of Representatives, in its session on January 8, on the Government Action Plan 2019-2022. Mr Al Buainain added that HRH the Premier had sent a missive on Thursday to the Council Speaker Fawzia Zainal stating that the Government Action Plan 2019-2022 would be unveiled to the Council in compliance with Clause 2 of Article 46 of Bahrain’s constitution.
The plan, he pointed out, is in line with the royal visions to boost the main fundamentals of the state and the community as well as ensure financial sustainability and economic development. The missive also stressed that consolidating defence, security and stability in society, supporting the democratic process and strengthening foreign relations are the top priorities of the plan.
The focus will be on achieving economic development within the framework of reaching the financial balance through a specific programme that will lead to fixing the budget and general debt. The Premier’s missive also highlighted his keenness on ensuring the quality and sustainability of social, health, education and housing services, enhancing the role of women, promoting the culture, youth and sports sectors, improving infrastructure, boosting efficiency, rationalising resource and energy consumption and raising the efficiency and effectiveness of the public sector.
HRH the Prime Minister also expressed his deep appreciation, pride and confidence in enhancing co-operation between the legislative and executive branches in the interests of the nations and citizens.
