The course takes place under the patronage of Transportation and Telecommunications Minister Kamal Ahmed - the minister who is in charge of the National Space Agency - in harmony with the NSA’s Strategic Plan 2019-2023 recently endorsed by the Cabinet, CEO of the National Space Agency Dr Mohammed Ibrahim Al Aseeri, said.

The four-day training course focuses on numerous themes primarily to familiarise the participants with the types of artificial satellites, their components, photo-electronic remote sensors, latest space technology progress and its link with practical applications in various fields, including environment, planning, topographic mapping, internet of things (IoT) and multifarious applications.

The programme provides information related to data analyses, images captured by artificial satellites and how to use them in the work fields, said Dr Al Aseeri, adding that the training programme comprises a host of practical applications that will contribute in the conveyance of scientific knowledge to the participants.
