Weekly BCCI majlis to discuss concerns of business houses
A new weekly majlis was launched by the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) yesterday. The Majlis that will be held at the BCCI premises in Sanabis, aims to discuss the concerns of businessmen in the country while helping the community come together and arrive at a consensus about business issues.
Sameer Nass, Chairman of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stressed that the Chamber is keen to strengthen the communication between the members of the Board of Directors and the executive and administrative bodies with its members. “We want to develop enhanced communication channels between the chamber and businesses in the various sectors.
We are keen to see the private sector take a stronger role in the development of the economy and contribute higher to the GDP,” he said. The first meeting was held for the commercial market sector while the upcoming meetings will address the education sector, the food sector, the health sector and others. The chamber announced that the next Majlis will discuss the issues faced by the education sector.
“The majlis aims to create an ongoing, direct communication channel between the Chamber and its members to exchange views and keep pace with the changes.
