HM King attends endurance race

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday attended the endurance championship of Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) First Deputy Chairman, Bahrain Athletics Association (BAA) Chief and Al Khaldia Stables captain His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

The 120-kilometre race was held at the International Endurance Village, under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, SCYS Chairman, Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President and Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) Honorary Chairman. HM, the King was received on arrival by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa,

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, BREEF chairman and Supreme Council for the Environment (SCE) Deputy President Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa and other BREEF members. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa briefed HM the King about the stages of the 120-kilometre race. HM, the King exchanged cordial talks with the 91 participants in the race, hailing the participation of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

He lauded the efforts of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa to develop the Arabian endurance sport, commending BREEF chairman and board members for the outstanding organisation.
