Programme aims to create professional jewellery makers
Twenty Bahrainis took part in the apprenticeship programme held to develop professional jewellery makers and designers. The programme was organised by Devji Aurum in partnership with Kuwait Finance House and the National Institute of Design in India.
Speaking to Tribune, Mahesh Devji, Managing Director of Devji Aurum, said: “The one month long talent development programme took place at Devji Aurum Gold and Diamond Jewellery factory located in Bahrain International Investment Park (BIIP) in Salman Industrial City Bahrain.
“Twenty applicants who were selected by Devji Aurum in partnership with KFH-Bahrain and the National Institute for Design (NID) from India to participate in Devji Aurum’s apprenticeship programme for jewellery design. “The initiative grants the top three winners of the programme cash prizes and an opportunity to work full time at Devji Aurum, while the other participants will acquire the necessary expertise to qualify for suitable vacancies in the respective industry highlighting their talents and enabling them to achieve their dreams.
