Yemeni govt’s international co-operation praised
Saudi Arabia has commended the Yemeni government’s efforts to protect and promote human rights and its continued willingness to work with the international community to strengthen forms of cooperation with multilateral mechanisms for the promotion of human rights.
During a session of the review of the situation in Yemen held on Wednesday by the UN’s Human Rights Council, the kingdom’s ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva Dr Abdulaziz Al Wasel praised the Yemeni government’s co-operation with all international and regional efforts to find a peaceful political solution to the Yemeni crisis, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
He called on the international community to intensify its support and assistance for the Government of Yemen in order to enable it to meet the challenges and obstacles it faces in implementing its human rights policies, as well as in education and healthcare.
