New head of compliance for BDB
In line with its strategic plan to invest in local talent and empower women in the banking sector, Bahrain Development Bank (BDB), announced the promotion of Mariam Safdar as Head of Compliance, the first Bahraini national to fill this position in BDB. Ms Mariam has over 14 years of experience in areas of Compliance, Risk Management, Credit Review, etc. She worked with many prestigious financial institutions and joined BDB in 2010.
Ms Mariam is a holder of a Bachelor degree in Business Management from the University of Bahrain, Master degree in Business Administration from NYIT in addition to Advanced Diploma in Islamic Banking and ICA International Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance.
