Governorates’ role hailed

Council of Representatives Speaker Fawziya Zainal stressed the crucial role of governorates in reaching out to citizens to address their needs and hear their remarks. She underlined the importance of consolidating community partnership between state entities and civil society institutions in the Capital, Muharraq, Northern and Southern Governorates. She paid tribute to Southern Governor His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, hailing his dedicated efforts to reach out to citizens, develop services and spearhead initiatives and projects.

She hailed the strides achieved in the Southern Governorate, in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. She paid tribute to His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier for their support. The Speaker made the statement following her visit to the weekly majlis hosted by the Southern Governorate.

She was received by HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa, in the presence of MPs, senior officials, leading personalities, dignitaries and citizens. She hailed the drive of the Southern Governorate to consolidate community partnership, and reach out to citizens and discuss their remarks and proposals, in addition to highlighting reform strides in the prosperous era of HM the King. She paid tribute to the Minister of Interior General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, hailing his firm keenness to bolster the role of governorates, stressing parliamentary support to development projects.
