His Majesty pardons inmates convicted by military court
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander, yesterday received at Al Safriya Palace Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Commander-in-Chief Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Defence Affairs Minister Lieutenant-General Abdulla bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, BDF Chief of Staff Lt Gen Dheyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, senior officials and BDF commanders.
They congratulated HM the King on the 51st anniversary of the establishment of the Bahrain Defence Force, hailing unwavering royal support to the BDF. They prayed to Allah the Almighty to protect HM the King to continue leading Bahrain’s landmark development march in the prosperous era.
HM, the King issued his royal order pardoning a number of prisoners who were convicted by the military court, after serving part of their jail terms. HM, the King has also conferred appreciative medals on a number of BDF officers and servicemen. HM the King congratulated all BDF officers, non-commissioned officers and citizens, on the glorious day in the history of Bahrain, hailing their dedication in defending the nation, protecting citizens’ security and national unity.
“You are the shield of the nation and a source of pride,” His Majesty said, describing the establishment of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) as a defining and shining moment in the national march.
