Minister opens international leadership conference

Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza, yesterday opened the international leadership conference organised by Bahrain Management Association.

The conference, organized on the theme ‘Excellence in leadership in the era of digital transformation’ is being attended by heads of companies and senior officials in ministries and government bodies along with about 150 delegates from outside Bahrain. In his keynote speech, Dr. Mirza said the issue of leadership excellence in the era of digital transformation is very important because of the way in which the world responds to the technological and digital revolution. He said Bahrain’s leadership had spared no effort in keeping pace with the digital transformation variables.

The Supreme Committee for Information and Communication Technology headed by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, for example, had taken great strides in this field according to Bahrain’s 2030 Economic Vision. Dr. Mirza also spoke of the experiences of leaders who have employed their skills to achieve their goals by implementing the digital transformation of their companies and institutions.
