Bureau conducts VAT workshop for IT vendors
The National Bureau for Revenue (NBR) held a workshop for IT vendors, at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, to ensure they are well informed on relevant VAT concepts. Representatives from various IT vendors attended the workshop and went through a summary of core VAT concepts, return filing, record keeping, and correct invoicing requirements, among other items which are key for compliance.
The workshop also provided IT vendors with the opportunity to discuss any queries with the NBR. The workshop was conducted to ensure IT vendors are well equipped to support taxpayers on their VAT readiness, particularly with their accounting management and at points of sale.
The workshop is among a series of informative taxpayer workshops designed to ensure the highest levels of compliance, understanding, and awareness from all registered businesses, in both the public and private sectors.
