Car damaged by flying debris
A moving car was damaged when a piece of construction plywood fell on it yesterday evening. Maria, the Filipino woman who was driving the car, escaped unhurt.
The incident happened yesterday around 3 pm following strong gusts in the Seef area. The plywood piece came flying from a vacant land adjacent to a construction site. “There were lots of plywood and other construction materials in the vacant lot. One of these flew in the wind and fell on my car,” Maria told Tribune.
