22,584 select family Physician within 24 hours
In an official announcement made by the Ministry of Health it was learnt that 22,584 individuals have selected their family physician in the first 24 hours of registration for the “Select Family Physician” program.
The Ministry of Health had announced the relaunch of the “Select Family Physician” program on 17th of February 2019 and is set to last for six weeks.
Assistant Undersecretary of Primary Health at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Manal Al-Alawi, said that this step comes in line with the activation of the National Health Plan (2016-2025) in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
This being the third phase of the initiative enables citizens and expatriates to choose their family Physician from eight designated health centers which include:
-Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait Health Center in Hidd
-National Bank of Bahrain Health Center in Al-Dair
-Bu-Maher Health Center
-Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem Health Center
-Jedhafs Health Center
-Sheikh Jaber Health Center in Barbar
-Budaiya Health Center
-Hamad Town Health Center
Registration can be done via https://www.moh.gov.bh/GeneralPractitioner or by personally visiting the health center.
