Revitalising ties
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday arrived in Egypt, at the invitation of President Abdel Fattah el Sisi, to take part in the first Arab-EU Summit, which opens today here. HM, the King was received on arrival at Sharm el-Sheikh International Airport, by Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mustafa Madbouli, Bahrain’s Ambassador to Egypt Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa and other senior Egyptian officials.
HM the King lauded deep-rooted historic and fraternal relations binding the two countries and peoples, hailing Egypt’s pivotal regional and international role, led by President el Sisi. His Majesty commended President el Sisi for hosting the first Arab-EU Summit to discuss together ways of ensuring a future which is more secure and prosperous for countries and peoples.
