Broaden executive-legislature partnership, says HRH Premier

His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa yesterday called for broadening Executive-Legislature cooperation to serve the nation and the best interest of its citizens. “Our partnership with the Council of Representatives is inevitable. We share priorities, and our ultimate common goal is to serve the nation and its citizens. Therefore, we will never hesitate to support and strengthen such cooperation, and to consolidate the commendable supervisory and legislative role played by the Council of Representatives,” HRH Premier said.

HRH the Prime Minister made the statements as he received, at his Palace in Riffa, the members of the Council of Representatives. “Let’s join hands in building the cherished nation. Let your youth enthusiasm be a catalyst for more giving that serves the national action,” the Premier said while addressing MPs. The Premier called for unifying stances for the best interests of the nation and urged parliamentarians not to slow down cooperation and coordination between the two branches.

“MPs represents the Bahraini people, and we are confident that they have received such an honour well-deservedly,” the PM added. Prime Minister further affirmed that the development process is on the right track adding that the government has succeeded in creating a secure and stable service system.

Stressing that delays in projects are unacceptable, HRH the Premier said all projects are subjected to continuous follow-up to ensure the commitment of all competent sides HRH the Prime Minister reviewed with the members of the Council of Representatives the needs of a number of regions, and the citizens’ requirements, including facilities and services. Lawmakers extended sincerest thanks and appreciation to HRH the Prime Minister for his constant support for government-parliament cooperation.
