Horrific accident leaves teenage dead and two seriously injured
A 16 year old Bahraini national was killed and two others seriously injured in a horrific accident on Friday.
The mishap took place on Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Street in the direction of Manama near Al-Maameer village.
Reports revealed that the deceased, identified as Qasim Jasim, along with his friends were in the vehicle en route to Manama when the driver exceeded the speed limit causing the vehicle to ram into the street and overturn.
The loss of control of the vehicle resulted in the death of Qasim Jasim, the passenger, on the spot and major injuries to two others.
The injured were rushed to Salmaniya Medical Complex while Police and Civil Defense closed two lanes until the wreckage was cleared and the situation was under control.
The Ministry of Interior in cooperation with the General Directorate of Traffic, announced the accident via their official social media accounts, stated that they initiated an investigation into the accident.
