His Majesty, Dubai ruler attend endurance race

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended the seventeenth edition of the international endurance race for His Majesty the King’s Cup. The Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) organised the 160-kilometre-long race, which is sponsored by the Gulf Finance House (GFH). Riders from the Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates took part.

His Majesty and His Highness Shaikh Mohammed were received by HM the King’s Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Council (SCYS) Chairman, Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President and Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation Honorary Chairman HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, a number of BREEF board members. HH Shaikh Nasser briefed His Majesty and HH Shaikh Mohammed about the race and the riders.

HM the King also met UAE Ambassador Shaikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, commending string bilateral relations binding the the Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates. The sponsors of the race also greeted HM the King. HM the King congratulated the winning riders on their impressive performance, stressing the importance of such events in enhance their readiness to compete in regional and international championships.

His Majesty expressed deepest thanks to HH Shaikh Mohammed for his visit, commending the participation of the Emirati riders, which reflects deep-rooted fraternal relations binding the two fraternal countries and peoples.   HH Shaikh Mohammed also expressed deepest thanks to HM the King for the warm welcome and hospitality, commending the role and efforts exerted by HH Shaikh Nasser.

HH Shaikh Nasser then honoured Royal Team’s Victorious rider Celestia Garcia, UAE M7 Stable rider Salem Al Kutbi and Victorious stable rider Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa.
