Priority for Bahrainis in healthcare sector
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has ratified and issued Law 1/2019 amending Article 14 of Law Decree 21/2015 regarding private health establishments.
According to new law, priority must be given at private health establishments to recruit Bahraini physicians, technicians and nursing staff who are in possession of the requisite qualification and experience, with the exception of positions that require unavailable rare specialised expertise.
The private health establishment must adjust its conditions in compliance with the provisions of this Law after expiration of contracts signed with non-Bahraini physicians, technicians and nursing staff, the new law says.
