Bahrain Robotics Festival 2019 concludes
Under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and President of Bahrain Athletics Association, the closing ceremony of the Bahrain Robotics Festival 2019, was held at Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation Hall. The festival, which was organised by the Ministry of Education as part of its celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the opening of the first school in Bahrain, witnessed the participation of many public and private schools’ students of both genders.
On the occasion, HH Shaikh Khalid said: “This festival enhances the culture of creativity and innovation in the educational movement, reflecting positively on the development and improvement of the outcomes of education, through encouraging the Bahraini youth to show their abilities and capabilities in the world of robotics; contributing to their educational skills. This grants them the opportunity to expand their abilities through such educational activities that are related to science and technology. It would also improve their communication and cooperation skills, and build their ability to gain new knowledge that is related to the development of education.” His Highness also commented while congratulating the winners in the festival: “Organising such scientific activities in the Kingdom has clear indicators and positive reflections of the advanced stages achieved by the educational movement, which contributes to the making of new generations that are able to create and innovate, and benefit the educational process in Bahrain. This will ultimately have a positive impact on progress and growth in all fields.”
HH Shaikh Khalid toured the festival, accompanied Education Affairs and Curricula Undersecretary in the Ministry of Education Dr Fawzi Abdulrahman Al Jowder and representatives of the sponsors, contributors, participants and invitees of the festival. Dr Al Jowder thanked HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa for His Highness’s generous support to the festival, which is organised for the second consecutive year.
