Indonesian expo to throw spotlight on halal cosmetics

The Indonesian Embassy in cooperation with Bahrain Indonesia Business and Friendship Society (BIBFS) has urged all players in the cosmetics industry to attend and be part of the Indo-Beauty Expo 2019.  To showcase the potential of Indonesian cosmetics industries, Krista Exhibitions supported by Indonesian Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Trade and National Agency of Drug and Food Control will organize the Indo-Beauty Expo 2019 from April 4 to 6 at C1-C2 Hall, JIEXPO Kemayoran Jakarta, Indonesia. The expo covers beauty products, treatment, and equipment; skin care product, treatment, and equipment; beauty academy/courses and equipment; hair care, product, treatment, and equipment; spa and wellness treatment, product, and equipment.

Speaking to Tribune, Hardiyono Kurniawan, First Secretary for Economic Affairs at the Indonesian Embassy, said: “One of the industries, which shows significant growth in Indonesia is health and beauty products.

There are a number of triggering factors that influence the movement of this business, such as the huge number of Indonesian population that automatically provides potential markets, the availability of natural resources as the raw materials to make health and beauty products, the development of technology applied the production process, and also the richness of cultural heritage which transfers natural beauty herb and formulation.

“Globally, Indonesian health and beauty products have penetrated a number of foreign markets, mainly the United States, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, India, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, France, and Germany. Products with the highest demand were wigs from synthetic textile materials, perfumes and toilet waters, essential oils, skin care items, and also false eyebrows or eyelashes made from synthetic textile materials.
