Formula to victory

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, yesterday visited the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) and attended the first day of the 2019 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.

HRH the Crown Prince welcomed the F1 community back to the home of motorsport in the Middle East, noting that the whole Kingdom is delighted to host the Grand Prix once again. HRH the Crown Prince praised the hard work of the hundreds of dedicated staff and volunteers who make the Grand Prix possible and pointed out that the race weekend is an excellent opportunity to showcase Bahrain’s famous hospitality to the world.

HRH the Crown Prince applauded Bahrain’s citizens whose support and dedication ensures that the Grand Prix continues to make a positive impact on the Kingdom’s sustainable economic development. His Royal Highness wished the teams and drivers every success during the 2019 Formula 1 Gulf Air Grand Prix, which promises to be a thrilling spectacle for all both locally and internationally. Meanwhile, on the track, Ferrari appeared to be back on form after dominating yesterday’s practice at the Bahrain Grand Prix.
