Minister attends evacuation drill

A medical team yesterday conducted a successful eviction drill at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC). The exercise was carried out ahead of the 2019 Formula One Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.  Health Minister Faeqa Al Saleh and hailed the readiness of the team, which includes 199 ministry employees.

The ministry has also set five mini-clinics at the BIC pending area, in addition to 11 ambulances, five rapid intervention vehicles, six infantry teams, and three other task forces to pull out the wounded. 

The evacuation drill was conducted in the presence of the member representing the international permanent medical committee and the doctor in charge of the F1 medical evacuation.

They commended the medical evacuation drill which complied with the FIA regulations, confirming the full readiness of the team which will contribute to the success of 2019 Formula One Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.
