Training volunteers in effort to tackle suicides

The Indian Community Relief Fund (ICRF) under the banner ICRF-LIFE, organized its second group of ‘Gatekeepers Training’ .  Listen, Involve, Foster, Engage (LIFE) is an initiative of ICRF, which trains the volunteers on how to identify those at risk of suicide.  Around 45 volunteers took part in the training held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in the Diplomatic Area.

Dr. Anisha Abraham, Clinical Psychologist at the American Mission Hospital, conducted the training for volunteers from various walks of life.  Volunteers were provided insight on how to deal with suicide prevention and provide mental health support. Mona Yousuf Almoayyed has also offered support for the ‘Gatekeepers Training’.
