Candle artist launches project to help orphans
Seema Haqiqi, a certified candle artist and designer, has initiated a unique volunteer project that collects used or unwanted candles to support orphans in Bahrain.
She runs the project along with environmental activist Nasra Buashwan. Used candles are collected and recycled as part of the project. The recycled candles are used to make scented artistic candles, which are sold in the market. The money raised from the sales goes directly towards charity initiatives, according to Seema.
“I’m a certified candle artist. The project has two dimensions, one to help charity activities and the other to save the environment.” “All funds raised will go to support projects to help orphans in the Kingdom. As our project is national, environmental, charitable and voluntary, we believe it deserves support from various organizations to reach the largest number of people possible.
