BWC to hold unique expo

Under the patronage of Shaikha Lulwa Al Khalifa, the Bahrain Writers’ Circle (BWC) and Harbour Gate, are back with their unique exhibition “Confluence – Where Words and Images Meet”.  Shaikha Lulwa is a renowned Bahraini artist, whose artworks have been exhibited at ArtBAB, and internationally at the Victoria and Albert Museum and Saatchi Gallery in London, the Grand Palais in Paris, as well as in the US and India.

Shaikha Lulwa will launch the event on April 27 at an inaugural event at Harbour Gate, Bahrain Financial Harbour. Confluence features 23 teams of writers and artists who have come together to create around 33 works of art either inspired by words or art that has inspired words. 

Shaikha Lulwa told Tribune,  “I am pleased to be associated with this expression of culture and look forward to seeing many more such initiatives from the Bahrain Writers’ Circle.” Angus Campbell, CEO of Financial Centre Development Company, added: “Harbour Gate is keen to offer its support to charitable and other NGO’s in Bahrain by providing them with event spaces to support their programs, as its contribution to the society.”
